I still had a few things to do after sitting the engine in a couple of weeks ago and thought id share . Sometimes this site is the only thing that keeps me going after hours and hours everyday of working on the Z and not getting to drive her :( . Well last nite she lived again and it was too sweet ! Started soon as the gas hit the rail and purrrrrrd @ 1200 rpm's , everything looked sweet . a few nimutes into it she cycled and the rpm's dropped to 700 . I let her run a few more minutes , shut her down and walked away smiling :) . Now Im going out to double , tripple check everything and do a cabin gauge wiring cluster fuck tuck ! There is still alot to do so dont bash to hard , it's probably just not complete .Engine in The engine has no PCV , just 4 vents to catch cans .

Had to bung the testpipes .

I had one wideband so I picked up one more of the same .

The wires were heat wrapped and ran in the old hicas brackets then behind the gas line heat shields .

Made this bracket to move the oil cooler . Moved the oil cooler because I also have a B&M tranny cooler w/fan up there so I wanted more flow and to seperate heat sources . The nose panel will be screened and ducted for the oil cooler ( not sure i'll stay with the one in the pics ).

Since my front vents dont connect to my intake I was able to do a 20 psi boost leak test with no leaks ! I did open the oil cap and pull the dip stick to releave any blowby due to open valves and pison ring blowby . I opened the butterflys , caped one side then pressurized the whole system at once . It was holding 20 psi while losing a small amount through the cylinders until the end cap blew off .

Finally hooked up the Batt .

Now ... the real nervousness began . It was time to turn the key ! You already know how that went but I'll admit I was alittle shaky while turning that key ! Thanks to everyone on this forum for all your help !!!
